The first matchday of the 2016 Singapore National Bridge League has been completed, and results are available. The captain’s meeting was held before the game started and after a few rounds of voting, the format for the 2016 League Cup has been decided. The 22 teams participating in the League will be split into 3 brackets after the conclusion of the round robin phase of the League.

• Bracket A will consist of the top 8 teams from Division 1
• Bracket B will consist of the bottom 4 teams from Division 1 and the top 4 teams from Division 2
• Bracket C will consist of the bottom 6 teams from Division 2

Brackets A and B will play knockouts, while Bracket C will play a Round-Robin.
